Corinne Halbert is an Ignatz award-nominated cartoonist and horror artist living and working in the NYC area. Her art is heavily influenced by an avid obsession with 1970s cult films, vintage comics and the occult. Halbert loves to read tarot and illustrate slipcover artwork for iconic home video label, Vinegar Syndrome. She's the creator of the comic book series, Acid Nun and Scorpio Venus Rising and her work is published by Silver Sprocket. She studied Film/Video at Massachusetts College of Art and received her MFA in Painting and Drawing from, The School of the Art institute of Chicago. When she isn’t drawing, painting or making SOV gore shorts with her partner, she’s probably at home watching Nunsploitation movies or reading comic books.
